TALKING PORTRAITS PODCAST - INTERVIEW WITH MARIA TROMBLY, AMERICAN JOURNALIST IN CHINA

I've always found Tom Parish's Talking Portraits podcast show to be a wonderful listen. Tom has perfected the art of the interview; he gets to the heart of the issue but at the same time engages in an actual conversation with the guests on his show. The result is a podcast that's a refreshing break from the scripted question-and-answer interview ... more like listening to two real people converse.

That being said, a recent Talking Portraits episode really caught my attention. Episode 44 is the first in a likely series of conversations with Maria Trombly, an American journalist living in Shanghai, China.

The focus of discussion with Ms. Trombly is to paint an accurate picture of what life is like these days for a Western businesswoman in China. As the fourth-largest country in the world, growing as fast as Silicon Valley grew in the 90s, China is already huge but is gaining even more presence in the world today. All sorts of entrepreneurs, visionaries and investors are being attracted towards China's growth. Maria's voice is valuable; she's in the middle of it all.

So, if you're in a learning mood and eager to hear more about this topic, head over to Episode 44 at Talking Portraits. Not only will you walk away with some concrete, factual knowledge; you'll have heard valuable opinions to supplement the facts.
